Golden  Jubilee year (1959-2009)

Golden Jubilee celebration inaugurated on February 5, 2008. Which was a grant occasion with major public gathering and day was blessed by the celebration of Holy Eucharist by our Bishop Stanley Roman and the public meeting inaugurated by Sri. Oommen Chandy the Opposition Leader of the Kerala Assembly.  A film on St. Therese of Lisieux under the title of “Cherupushpam” was released on this day.

Year lasted celebrations concluded on 10th of January 2009 beginning with the Holy Eucharist, concelebrated by the Most Rev. Dr. Soosai Pakiam, Arch Bishop of Trivandrum, Most. Rev. Dr. Stanly Roman(Bishop of Quilon), Rt. Rev. Dr. Josseph G. Fernandez (Bishop Emeritus of Quilon) Rt. Rev. Dr.Vincent Samuel( Bishop of Neyyattinkara), Rt. Rev. Dr. Sebastian Thekkethecheril(Bishop of Vijayapuram), Rt. Rev. Dr. Josesph Kariyil(Bishop of Punalur), Rt. Rev. Dr. Joshua Mar Ignatios(Bishop of Mavelikara).  The public meeting was inaugurated by Shri. Christy Fernandez(Honourable Secretary to the President of India).
A documentary “Suvarnodayam” and a Souvenir were released during the function.

There were a tremendous public representations and a good coverage of the public meeting in the various Channels and News.
